So back in Rome at about 136, the emperor Hadrian needed a successor so he adopted this guy named Commodus. Then the guy died. So then he adopts a guy named Pius.
Pius becomes the next emperor and adopts two boys; Marcus Aurelius and Commodus (Son of the first Commodus) who is refered to as Verus .
Marcus Aurelius become emperor and had two sons. Their names are Annius Verus and Commodus.
